At Loom & Lane, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your order, we offer easy returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery.

Return Eligibility

Items are eligible for return or exchange if they meet all of the following conditions:

  • Returned within 30 days of delivery date
  • Items are in their original condition - unused, unworn, and undamaged
  • Original tags and packaging are intact
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)
  • Item is not on the non-returnable items list (see below)

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Custom or personalized products
  • Final sale or clearance items
  • Items marked as "non-returnable" on the product page
  • Products with broken seals or packaging
  • Perishable goods or fresh flower arrangements
  • Gift cards or vouchers

How to Return an Item

Follow these simple steps to initiate a return:

Step 1

Contact our customer service team via email at returns@loomandlane.lk or call +94 11 234 5678 within 30 days of receiving your order.

Step 2

Provide your order number, item details, and reason for return. We'll send you a Return Authorization Number (RAN).

Step 3

Pack the item securely in its original packaging with all tags attached. Include your RAN in the package.

Step 4

Ship the item to our returns address (provided with your RAN) or drop it off at any of our branch locations.

Important: Returns without a Return Authorization Number may be delayed or rejected.

Exchanges

If you'd like to exchange an item for a different size, color, or variant:

  • Follow the same return process and indicate you want an exchange
  • Specify the replacement item you want
  • We'll ship the new item once we receive and inspect your return
  • Exchanges are subject to product availability
  • If there's a price difference, we'll refund or charge accordingly

Refund Policy

Refund Processing Time

Once we receive your returned item:

  • Inspection: 2-3 business days to inspect the returned item
  • Refund Approval: Email notification once approved
  • Refund Processing: 5-10 business days to process the refund
  • Credit to Account: Additional 3-5 business days depending on your bank
Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Card: Refunded to the same card
  • Bank Transfer: Processed to the account you specify
  • Cash Payment: Bank transfer or store credit
Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued in the following cases:

  • Items not in original condition or damaged due to customer fault
  • Items returned after 30 days (at management discretion)
  • Missing components or accessories

Return Shipping Costs

Domestic Returns (Sri Lanka)
  • Defective/Incorrect Items: We cover return shipping costs
  • Change of Mind: Customer responsible for return shipping (LKR 500-800)
  • Free Drop-off: Return items for free at any branch location
International Returns
  • Customer responsible for return shipping costs unless item is defective
  • International return shipping typically ranges from LKR 3,000-6,000
  • We recommend using tracked shipping services

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item:

  • Contact us immediately upon receipt (within 48 hours)
  • Provide photos of the damaged item and packaging
  • We'll arrange for immediate replacement or full refund
  • Return shipping costs covered by us
  • No restocking fees applied

Restocking Fee

A restocking fee may apply in certain situations:

  • Standard Returns: No restocking fee
  • Large/Bulky Items: 15% restocking fee may apply
  • Custom Orders (if accepted): 25% restocking fee

Store Credit Option

Choose store credit instead of a refund and receive:

  • 10% bonus credit on your return value
  • No expiration date on store credit
  • Can be used on any future purchases
  • Faster processing (1-2 business days)
